The Health Ticket was developed by BAS to maximize provider steerage based not only on provider quality, but cost effectiveness. Through online provider searches by a plan member, the Health Ticket will display the search results that will guide patients to the preferred providers. The Health Ticket outlines the schedule of benefits.
Any provider search is centralized in a single directory;
The list of providers displayed is based on plan design and demographics;
In and out-of-network options are provided highlighting providers that are best cost both to the plan and to the member;
If the provider is in the plan network, only the network schedule of benefits will be shown. If the provider is not in the network, only the non-network benefit schedule will be shown;
Includes relevant plan information such as benefit schedule, pre-certification requirements, prescription plan details as well as instructions for eligibility verification and claims submission for the provider selected;
The Health Ticket is also date and time stamped to further ensure member eligibility accuracy.
