BAS was founded in 1983 as a Third Party Administrator. From day one, BAS has had a strong focus on the client, providing individual contacts for each employer group. That principle continues today. Today, BAS has 170 employees located in Chicago, St. Louis, and Nashville. We partner with over 300 employer groups. These employer groups are generally middle market companies that have employee populations of all sizes. The employer groups include public/private owned businesses, non-profit, and government agencies.
Historically, BAS has been a Third Party Administrator to an enterprise that designs and administers partially self funded healthcare plans. Over the last two years we have invested in intregrative tools, products, and services. Because of these investments, we are now a company that not only design and administer self funded healthcare plans, offers comprehensive lifestyle and outcomes based wellness programs. These tools, along with creating healthcare plans that engage the employee and provide information to manage the process; create innovative, low cost solutions for our clients. This evolution has allowed us to reposition the company.
